Sibiloi National Park
Sibiloi National Park with area of 1570sq km is located northeastern of Lake Turkana Kenya with approximately 800km from Nairobi. This semi desert ecosystem protects wildlife and unique prehistoric & archaeological site linked to human evolution.
Varieties of wildlife found in the park include common zebra, reticulated giraffe, grant gazelle, beisa oryx, topi, greater kudu, lion, hippo, cheetah, leopard, striped hyena, silver backed jackal, bird species as pelicans, duck and flamingoes.
The park is also known for largest nile crocodile population which breeds on Lake Turkana. The archaeological site preserves some wildlife fossils as the giant tortoise and crocodile with 18 to 20ft long.
