Meru National Park
Meru National Park is Kenya superb national park with area of 870sq km located east of Meru in Eastern Province 350 km from Nairobi. With an area of 870 sq km the park receive abundant rainfall hence it covered with tall grasses and lush swamps area. Wet seasons are from April to June and November to December.
Meru vegetation includes thorny bush land, wooded grasslands in west side and open grassland. Wide varieties of wildlife inhabit the park include elephants, grevy’s zebra, eland, hippos, bohor reed-buck, hartebeest, bush pig, reticulated giraffe, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, cobra, puff udder and more than 427 bird species.
