Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru National Park covers 188sq km near Nakuru Town with Lake Nakuru one of Rift Valley shallow soda lakes nestled on southern edge famous for supporting thousands of flamingoes. Nakuru lies approximately 164km north of Nairobi Kenya.
Lake Nakuru offers the greatest bird spectacle with myriads of fuchsia pink flamingoes reaching more than a million with other birds as pelicans and cormorant. The park inhabited with Rothschild’s giraffe, Rhino, Waterbuck, Lion, Cheetah, Pythorn and Leopard, birds as flamingoes, goliath heron, hamerkop, fish eagle, pied kingfisher and verreaux eagle.
Over 550 plant species include euphorbia forest and yellow acacia woodlands.
