Terms & Conditions
The booking confirmation must be in Writing, a deposit of 45% is required to book any tour arrangements. The safari balance has to be paid 45 days prior to commencement of the tour. Payment is required in full when bookings are made less than 45 days before the tour begins.Cancellation Policy
All cancellation must be notified in writing. The cancellations received 60 days and above prior to departure will be subject to the loss of deposit. Cancellations received below sixty days prior to departure will be subject to the following forfeit fees:
- 59 to 35 days before tour begin 50% of the tour cost
- 34 to 14 days prior to departure 75% of the tour cost
- Less than 14 days prior to departure 100% of the tour cost
- No show 100% of the tour cost
Payments Method
All payments must be wired to our bank account in Arusha,Tanzania or paid in cash at our Office in Arusha. We do not accept credit cards. Upon the confirmation of tour, clients will be emailed the Company bank account details includes swift code to wire the agreed payments also the clients bear the cost for the wire transfer service (all transfer charges must be paid by sender/client).
MSA reserves the right to increase tour price in order to cover increased costs, tariffs and taxes received after prices are published, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Also the price can be increased due to festival season supplement based on type of accommodation requested.
Currency
All prices are quoted in US Dollars and all payments must be made in US$ or other currencies by arrangement. The Company reserves the right to cancel tours if payment is not received in accordance with these terms, unless a prior agreement has been reached between company and client/s.
Price
The following items are included in quoted programs: all accommodations as noted in the itinerary; meals as specified; English speaking driver guides (other language speaking guides must be requested when booking safari) as noted in the itinerary; relevant park and entrance fees; airport transfers as noted, equipment as noted.
The following items are not included in trip prices: Traveler international health/travel insurance, AMREF Flying Doctors service unless noted in the itinerary; international airfare; internal airfare unless otherwise noted (please note that if the internal airfare is included, the client suppose to pay the full amount of the ticket when booking the safari); costs associated with passports or entry visas; airport departure taxes; excess baggage charges; gratuities/tips; drinks/alcohols unless otherwise noted, meals other than specified in the itinerary; sightseeing and game drives not included in the itinerary; personal expenses such as laundry, email, telephone and fax charges; and optional activities such as night game drives, bush dinners, cultural tours, Canoeing safari, Balloon safari and walking safaris unless otherwise noted.
The price not includes the gratuities for drivers, guides, cooks, porters, or hotel/lodge/camp staffs. Gratuities are at the traveler’s discretion and should meet the level of satisfaction with the service received although everybody giving you the service expecting tips. Recommended tipping guidelines are provided in pre-trip information.
Unused Services
There are no refunds for unused portions of the program and refunds will not be made to passengers who do not complete the tour for any reason whatsoever. Also no portion of internal airfare payments will be reimbursed even if the trip cancelled.
Luggage & Baggage
Baggage is recommended to one standard size bag while on safari due to limited space in the vehicle and road conditions. For scheduled flights within the parks the maximum baggage allowance is 20 kgs (including hand bag) per person, each extra kg charged. Excess luggage can be stored in the left locker room of most hotels or at our office.
Healthy & Insurance
It is an expressed understanding and condition that any person taking MSA has an adequate and valid Travel insurance cover against personal accident, medical attendance, baggage and trip cancellation, please visit quotewright for a comparative review of insurance policies. In addition we highly recommends taking AMREF Flying Doctors service for in case of any emergency at a fee of US$30 per person for 14 days and US$50 per person for 2 month which covers Tanzania, Kenya & Uganda. AMREF Flying Doctors service provide medical evacuations for patients in serious medical conditions, using both air and ground ambulances. The air ambulances are fitted life saving equipment with to respond to medical emergencies, including intensive care cases. Also travelers must be responsible to ensure his/her travel documents (the passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry), visas, passports and vaccination certificates are in order.
Tour Alterations
The sequence of the itinerary and accommodation during safaris are adhered to as far as possible. We reserve the right however to make alterations due to any calamity as bad weather, road conditions, congestion or other causes. We also reserve the right to decline or retain a passenger as a member of any tour at any time.
Liability
The Company acts only as an agent of the passenger in all matters relating to tours and it accepts no responsibility for any personal illness, injury, accident, death, delay, loss, damage or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, include without limitation, any act of negligence or breach of contract of any third party such as a hotel or airline, who is to, or does supply, any goods or services for the trip.
Mlimani Safaris will not be responsible for any losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedule, overbooking of accommodation, fault of third parties, sickness, weather, strikes, acts of God or for any other cause beyond its control. All such losses or expenses have to be borne and paid for by the passenger.
Company’s liability to passengers carried in its own vehicle is governed by Tanzanian law and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the Tanzanian Courts. Whilst every care is taken, the Company will not be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage, personal effects, valuables or currency. The Company reserves the right to employ sub contractors for all or part of the services.
Photographic
Company reserves the right to take photographs during operation of any trip and to use them for promotional and marketing purposes. By booking with MSA the Travelers agree to allow their images to be used in such photographs. Travelers who prefer that their images not be used are asked to identify themselves to their tour guide at the beginning of their tour.
