Gombe Stream National Park

Gombe Stream National Park with 52sq km is smallest chimpanzee reserve in western Tanzania located 16km north of Kigoma. A fragile strip of land lies between steep slopes and river valleys stretching to the northern shores of Lake Tanganyika famous world’s longest lake.

Gombe stream is famous park for Chimpanzee that habituated to humans. Despite the abundance of chimpanzee other wildlife found includes bush pig, acrobatic colobus monkey, giant kingfisher, crown eagle, trumpeter hornbill and other species.
