Serena Lodge Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Serena Lodge built on the crater rim of ngorongoro. The plant covered native stone blends masterfully with its surroundings making the lodge invisible from the crater
Perched on the rim of crater, wreathed in morning mist, camouflaged in river stone and cloaked in indigenous creepers, Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is ecological and architectural fusion. Constructed in the crater rim which offers the endless vistas over the crater below a clustered boulder built buildings of the Lodge hug the crater rim, linked by rope-lashed timber walkways that skirt the buttressed roots of ancient, liana hung trees.
The guest rooms have private terraces with spectacular views of the crater floor and the African sunrise. The main lodge has spacious lounge areas and a grand dining room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the crater. Dancers, slide lectures, local musicians, and celebrations often take place at the lodge in the evenings. Nature walks with local Maasai guides offer cultural insights into the natural habitat of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
